Post-Activation Discount Reminder
Two major takeaways:
1) If you're worried about margin with traditional discounts, test running cash-back offers instead using Fondue (by Postscript). Alia makes it super easy to A/B test this and see which is more profitable for your brand.
2) That small "You get 25% Back!" reminder is powerful. It reminds shoppers they have a discount and confirms the discount was actually applied.
Most sites make it hard to know if discounts are auto-applied. This tiny addition removes any uncertainty and improves the shopping experience. (the above Alia popup is live on their site!)

The minimalist design
Sometimes less is way more.
Strip away all the distractions and go with pure text and maybe a light gradient background.
Best seller feature
Odds are your customers already recognize your best seller.
Flash it in your popup for instant recognition and to subliminally guide customers toward your star product.
Photo of human (or end user) using product
People buy from people.
The more authentic the image feels, the better it performs.
Photo of outcome/event product is in
Don't just show what your product is.
Show what your product DOES.
If you sell workout equipment, show a transformed physique, not just the dumbbells.
If you sell a condiment, show the mouth-watering dish it transforms.
Product testimonial
Share interesting stories from customers to grab people's attention.
It’s not too different from an ad
When you design a popup, think just like you would with an ad creative:
How do I get the person to stop and read it?
How do I do this while remaining on brand?
How do I complement the message with my creative?
I encourage you to AB test a version of each of the designs I shared against your current winner.
I guarantee you'll be shocked by the outcome.
